COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT
Town Council for Delaware City
George has been on town council since early 2024. Since being on the board he has helped pass new ordinances and laws that were put in place to make Delaware city a better place. George listens to the communities concerns and working along side Mayor Paul Johnson and other council members looks for resolutions that address the concerns and safety of the town.
Shop Steward for the Teamsters
Back in 2019 George was elected to be the shop steward for his company. Following in the footsteps of his father who was shop steward before him he accepted the position. George has been with the Teamsters for close to 30 years and is very passionate about supporting the union and the union members.
Delaware City Community Park District Commissioner
George has been serving as a commissioner for Delaware City Community Park District, also known as Dragon Run Community Center, for over 15 years. While being on the board he has helped run a ton of events for the community. Some being, an annual easter egg hunt, annual water park party, community bus trips and most notably being Santa for the annual Lunch with Santa.
Lions Club Member
George has been with the Lions Club since 1998. Through the Lions he has assisted in giving access to medical equipment to those in need. One of Georges most rewarding event he's in charge of is delivering Christmas baskets to families in need during the holiday season. George is a strong believer of no man left behind and works hard to make sure the people of his community get the help they need.
